Well its been allot longer than I thought, since I posted on here. Allot has been going on, August Braden started Kinder garden:(. I can not believe that my baby is 5, just does not seem possible. He has adjusted well, however he seems to get in quite abit of trouble through out the day. Although he is getting better. For awhile there was more red writing in his folder than blue. He likes to talk to much, disrupt during rest time, dog pile which is a form of wrestling(I have learned), pat kids on the bottom, kiss the girls, well I could go on and on, but I will spare you. Things have greatly improved, he likes rewards for good behavior, so he trys much harder now.

In Sept. we went to Vegas with 19 other friends. It was a blast. I usually have a hard time relaxing, due to worry about how Braden is doing(and those who are watching him). However...I did none of that.... It was awesome. We also went to Austin with Steves work, where I had a massage and some wonderful food and company we had a great time.

We have also been busy with doctor visits and surgeries. Steve had to have both shoulders rotators cuffs fixed, which went very well. The doctor has said he is about 6 months ahead of most people who have this done. It is remarkable how well he has healed. I credit Jesus for all of this, and lots of prayer. Braden had his 5th set of tubes put in this week and did excellent. He is such a little pro at this however he knows what is to come, which makes it more difficult prior to surgery. All went very well with both, we are very thankful.

Lastly we ask you all to say lots of prayer for Braden, most of you know that Bradens legs are bowed. He has experienced quite a bit of pain through out the year with this. We are flying to Delaware next week to get them fixed. There is a specialist up there who sees lots of little people and will perform surgery on his legs. He will be in cast for 8 weeks(so pray for sanity for Steve and myself) along with quick healing for Braden.

I hope you each have a awesome Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks, and we are truly very thankful for all our blessings.

Ranger Game/ Baseball Ready!!

Well the last few weeks have been really busy. I will start out with all good and fun news, we went to see the Rangers play. Braden is sooo in love with baseball, and as you can see he really enjoyed it. It was extra cool, because they put on a firework show after the game (although Braden did not like them, they hurt his ears). It was a great family date. We all really enjoyed it not to mention the Rangers won. Yea!
PS. I know there is two pictures that are the same, I could not figure out how to take one off. So after much frustration, I decided to leave it on...
Now on to the SAD news, last week was a really difficult week. It started off with my Mom totalling out her car in a accident. It was very scary because I happen to be talking to her when it happened. I was telling her that we probably would not be going to Waco for Mother's Day. It was quite alright with her, she said they did not have any plans anyway. Well long story short, a 19 year old girl pulled out in front of her and she t-boned her. She was alright, they did take her to hospital. Lots of bruising and strained neck but she is alright. Thank you for all the prayers. Well I listened to the good Lord, I felt like he was sending me a big message. I went to Waco for Mother's Day. It was very nice, however right before I was to leave we received a call from one of our Pastors. He told us that a very dear friend and leader of our small group Bible study had died and also his 10 year old son. This broke our Hearts.. We still do not know and will probably never know WHY? He was a awesome family man, father, leader and Christ Follower. All we know is that at some point Satan had taken over. Please pray for his wife and their other 2 children. We continue to struggle with pain in our hearts.

Baseball

I have not posted in a few weeks, life at the Veronie house has been rather hectic. We started t-ball this past week. I don't know if I have told you all, how CRAZY Braden is about baseball. The kid would rather watch the Rangers then anything else on tv. The other night we changed the channel to watch American Idol, he started crying, had a melt down over not being able to watch baseball(Oh my goodness). I know most of you are not surprised, given how much Steve likes baseball, but come on now. Anyways, Braden is officially a Muckdog. I have been told this is minor league team. I asked why we can not be something common, Cubs, Rangers, Red Sox, we went from Ironbird last season to Muckdog. Oh well as long as he has a good time, it really does not matter. Our first game is coming up this weekend, so be sure to check back for updated photos of the team. Oh I have to share this, the other day Braden was playing outside with water hose, he loves to waste water, should I say. I look out back and he has striped all his clothes off except his baseball hat and is hitting balls with his bat. I guess the wet clothes got to him. I took a picture, it will be one of those embrace me photos, I use when he gets older.

New Power Team Member!

If any of you have not seen the Power Team, you should check them out. They are awesome. To give you a little back ground about them, they are a traveling ministry, but happen to be really strong and do these amazing stunts. For example breaking wooden bats over their legs and back, breaking cement blocks with their heads. They do really crazy things, but best of all they share their testimonies about Jesus. They were at his school last week, and Braden has decided he wants to be a member. We bought a souvenir, a wooden bat and the first thing he did was try to break it over his leg. My little stunt man. Anyways, if you have not seen them, I know they are coming to Sachse, Parklake Church next week, check them out. You will not be disappointed.

March 30, 2009

I can not believe it, but we just celebrated Braden's 5th birthday. It seems like yesterday that we were heading down 75 to Medical City Hospital. My how fast time goes. I am not sure if it really passes faster or it is because we have a child. My family and friends would always say that time goes faster once you have children. I have much appreciation for that saying these days. It can bring tears to my eyes to think about the next 5 years passing as fast as these last. I just try and love on him as much as he will let me(he is so not into kisses and love). He is such a joy to Steve and I, the Lord blessed us so very much with him. He always brings lots of love and laughter to our family. We truly feel honored to have been given such a wonderful, special son to raise. Anyways, I will not go on about that anymore.
Braden is doing very good is school(when he does not get in trouble for talking, I dont know were he gets this from). He has such an awesome teacher, she is so wonderful. We love his school, I have to brag Canyon Creek Christian Academy. We found an awesome place for him to call home. Its amazing how much love is in this school. We recently went to a school function and kids from 4 to 16 knew him and were giving him high fives and lovin on him. It is exactly what we wanted when we set out to find a school for him. He is doing awesome, learning so much so fast. I am very proud of him and his accomplishments. I know most of you know how addicted to baseball he is and we are counting down the days till Tball starts. I will keep you posted with pictures soon. As for Steve,he is playing in several leagues for softball, and also a weekend tournament team, so he stays very active. Did I mention he retired from softball 2 years ago. Haha, I dont think he will ever let that sport get to far from reach. Anyways thanks for visiting and keep coming back. This is my new release, and journal of our lives.
